Andrew Philip, in his Tonguefire blog, has given a very good account of the thoroughly enjoyable reading at the Great Grog last night. I agree with his comments, so I won’t repeat them, except to say that it was a super night. I too am looking forward to the June event – Kapka Kassabova, Mike Stocks, Eleanor Livingstone and Jim Carruth. Despite the occasional venue-related problems, the readings are established as an essential part of the poetry scene.
I’m away to rehearse my upcoming Shore Poets reading (27th April), where Andrew and I are both on the bill.
