I was out at the Amisfield Walled Garden on Wednesday, when it was -6C. I took my wee ‘zoomy’ camera and got these shots.

This first one is a frosted nettle in the ground outside the walls where we’ve been clearing snowberries and undergrowth.

The second shows ice crystals on a sawdust heap. I rather like the abstract feel of this one. I can’t decide if I’ve captured bird tracks in the image. It’s hand-held – I didn’t take my tripod.

Our other winter work is mostly cutting the peripheral paths.
