Serendipity


I was down at Dunbar harbour trying to get a close-up of an eider in eclipse plumage. It managed to dive just as I focussed on it, but I got this splash, which I find interesting anyway.

    Great Splash. I was at Tynigham yesterday, on the sand spit side and saw hundreds of female eider there, as well as a record breaking, for me, nine heron.

    Thanks apprentice. There’s something special about herons. Sooner or later every poet writes a heron poem.
