Getting Grumpy

Maybe it’s the heat (though actually it’s lovely to have warm sunshine for the first time this summer) but I’m getting a tad tetchy over some things. Mostly it’s about the bureaucracy inherent in some organisations, and the nit-picking mentality of some of their staff. Unfortunately, I still need the money, so I can’t reveal all just yet.

Sunny Dunny is at its best just now; the gardens are glorious, the beaches are nearly empty (people have forgotten about trips to the seaside), and the dogshit on the pavements has dried up so it doesn’t stick to shoes and baby buggies.

I got grumpy at some dog-owners on Ravensheugh Beach yesterday, when two of their untrained beasts started to investigate our family picnic. They didn’t stay long. Why do pet owners seem to assume that everyone else will be happy to share their enjoyment of their pets? It doesn’t work like that.

Grr.

Hope things have improved on the bureauctat front – it’s never easy is it.And yes people can be thoughtless about their pets. Weather is great, it’s hard to remember what real sunshine is like. I’m hacking back some of the growth in my garden, things have reached incredible heights with rain.
